YMCA Camp Huckins Mother/Daughter Weekend Friday, September 17th - Sunday, September 19th, 2010

Did you attend camp many years ago? Is your daughter currently attending? Maybe you never had the chance to attend? GREAT NEWS! Here is a chance to share and experience life beneath the pines, this time with your mother or daughter by your side!!

Camp Huckins is pleased to launch its very first Mother/ Daughter weekend! The weekend is open to our campers, families, relative's, alumni, and friends of Camp Huckins! The weekend will provide opportunities to take part in scheduled activities (water aerobics, sing a longs, baking, zumba, Archery, Hiking, canoeing, Mother v. Daughter kickball, basket weaving, boat rides, camp fires) or time to simply spend with your mother/ daughter on the beautiful shores of Lake Ossipee.
There is no age limit to this program, however, children under the age of four are not really able to participate in the scheduled activities. Each adult will be responsible for the child attending with her.
Lodging will be in our cabins and you should be prepared for sharing with other mother/daughters. Registration will be from 4pm to 6pm on Friday followed by dinner. The weekend will conclude with lunch on Sunday.

A CD of camp songs to celebrate the 75th anniversary is now available.  The recording by campers, staff and alumni features Duke Hermance and Rick and Ron Shaw.  To order this special CD send name and address with $20 to:

Family Camp

   The purpose of Family Camp is to provide an opportunity for family members to participate together in a YMCA Camp environment in order to strengthen the family values of group living and understanding.  The program has been designed so you and your family may enjoy the benefits of a camp setting using the family as a focus.
