 Staff Openings 2009

The director at Camp Huckins has many years of camping experience. She regularly attend conferences, seminars, and workshops to keep well informed about camping concerns.  These professional programs and workshops are conducted by the American Camping Association and the YMCA.

Our Junior Counselors are seniors in high school and our Senior Counselors are at the college level. Junior counselors are selected from our Leadership training program.

Each of our four divisions, Junior, Middler, Senior and Leadership, is supervised by an adult who lives in the division with her family.

Program specialists are recruited for their outstanding ability in a particular field as well as leadership qualities.  These people supervise Waterfronts, Sports, Trips, Crafts, Horseback Riding, Sailing, Water Skiing and Tennis.  We host several international staff each year who work in program or service positions.  With a total of around 90 staff members as well as families, Camp Huckins has a wonderful family atmosphere.
